A cause I support with all my might is stopping puppy mills. Whether or not you are aware of this issue, please read below…
“Puppy mills are legal large scale dog breeding operations where dogs are bred for profit and puppies are mass produced. Dogs are considered “livestock” in the eyes of the USDA so puppy mills are legal. There are approximately 10,000 puppy mills in the United States. These commercial “dog mating” facilities supply our nation’s pet stores, sell directly to the public thru disguised websites as well as thru newspaper ads.” - The Puppy Mill Project
I support the not for profit organization The Puppy Mill Project whose mission it is to educate the public and raise awareness about puppy mills and their direct connection to pet stores, internet sites and newspaper ads that sell dogs.
